$700 is not a negligible amount, and Suze Orman is rich. As someone who's grown up on the poor side of town... I know very few people who could afford an "extra" thousand or so. Kind of disingenuous not to talk about sliding-scale doulas or something here, rather than just pretending that, oh yay, all women having babies can totes afford an extra $500-$1000. Need or want or whatever, a lot of us just can't do it.
